What is the roadmap to being a doctor in Nepal?
To become a doctor, You need to study science in classes 11 and 12. Biology is necessary to study in these classes. You need a strong base of Science to study science at a higher level. Then if you get pass +2 by getting good marks then you are compatible to apply for the study of MBBS. Yes MBBS is the degree you need to hold to be a doctor. In Nepal, TU provides scholarships for brilliant students. If you are an extraordinary student with a strong base of knowledge and if you can work hard and smart then you have a probability of studying MBBS barely paying anything. It means if you can rank high in scholarship competitive exams then you can study paying very low fees. But if you wants to study MBBS paying fees usually then it costs comparatively more. [It is estimated and said it costs 50 lakh to 1 crore although it's not accurate data]
Scope and Salary Of Doctor In Nepal
Undoubtedly scope of doctor in Nepal is really high. To become doctor it takes a lot of time and it is kind of worth it. Salary of doctor begins with internship in final year. It starts for 12 thousand and ranges upto 25 thousand. Then if s/he gets goverment job then his/her goverment gives salary starting from 42 thousand. In private sector hospital salary of doctors ranges form 30 thousand to even 1 lakh. But of course it depends upon place and capital of hospital. If the doctor opens up clinic the income can't be predicted just like in business. It can go in 5-6 digits numbers also. Many doctors unsatisfied with the salary of doctor in the begining phase. They advice not to study MBBS for money. But still you can study further and become specialist and increase income.
