Top places to visit in Lumbini Province

Lumbini Provice is in the western south part of the country. Although there are no mountain range there are many place to visit. Reaching this province is easy through Mahendra Highway, Prithivi Highway etc. The provincial capital of Lumbini Province is in Dang.

1)Lumbini


The Buddha was born in Lumbini | Nepali TimesIt is obvious that Lumbini is one of the best tourist attractions in Lumbini Province. It holds religious

2)Supadeurali

Supa Deurali Temple - Supa Deurali Mandir- Wonders of Nepal


Supadeurali is in Argakhachi district. Hundreds of local tourists are found there almost regularly and

even thousands on special occasions. People go there because of its religious value and importance. Many students go there for fieldtrips and picnics. It is located just beside a road which comes from Butwal to Sardikharka. One thing you should know is that roads are narrow so reaching there is a kind

of adventure itself but in other words risk.


3)Bardiya NP

Bardiya is in the western part of Lumbini Province. The major attraction of Bardiya National Park is Bengal Tiger which is extremely rare and endangered. Besides that many animals and different plants are found there which you can visit and do a jungle safari.

4)Resunga


Locals are happy after snowfall in Gulmi's Resunga - Himal Sanchar 

Resunga is in Gulmi district. Resunga is just near the headquarters Tamghas. The climate and vegetation in this place are just refreshing to connect with nature and feel lively. Resunga is religiously very important for Hindus. During the month of Shrawn and Kartik, local tourists crowd this place in large numbers. But other times it is just a place to go and feel nature. If you want to go camping then it's a good place. Although in the rainy season it's really hard to reach there

5) Bhairavsthan


Bhairabsthan Temple is located in Palpa district. This temple is 9KM north west from Tansen a beautiful town and headquarter of Palpa. It was build by Mukunda Sen, a king of SEN dynesty when Palpa used to be the capital.The temple is visited by the people all over Nepal and mostly by the Hindus of Palpa and nearby districts. Hindu people worship at the temple mainly in Mahaastami of Dashain. Many pilgrims visit the temple in the month of Mangsir (November -December). The main days for worship at this temple are Tuesdays and Saturdays. During the festivals, animal sacrifices (buffalo, goat, ram and chicken) are performed in the temple. Pancha Bali is also performed, which involves the sacrifice of five kinds of animals namely buffalo, goat, sheep, hen and duck.
